"I took this picture after sobbing for 3 hours straight about many things. how i hated myself. how i felt unloved. how i wish my life was different.
then i wanted to capture how i felt in those moments. lost, heartbroken, confused, sad. i took my camera and started taking self portraits at 2 in the morning and ended up with a series of portraits that i really liked"

“My limbs went numb and I couldn’t breathe, my heart was pounding so loud i could hear it out loud, i felt i was loosing control”-bottling up of emotions over the time can lead to constant anxiousness and frequent panic attacks and I learnt that the only way to get over it is being brave enough to letting them out and asking for help! Keep going and believe that it will get better with time! I realised that Painting helps me emote, calm my nerves and makes me feel good about myself and ever since then i cannot stop doing it!

My art is all about self irony, problems we all have with a funny view on it. I recently started to use myself as a model for my work. The ginger in my illustrations is supposed to be me and some of the quotes or writing on the illustrations is things that happens in my life.

I’m a Dominican artist who enjoys working with watercolor! I made this piece as a vent because I struggle with anxiety, and couldn’t seem to find the exact words to describe my feelings, so I resorted to painting it.

Taking my Space by Vika
For many people mental health and mental health care mean very different things. To me, taking care of yourself in critical situations is mainly about blocking out the noise. In finding a safe space within yourself and BREATHE. Root myself back in presence. This work specifically represents my go-to method of recharging. Through mindfulness and breathing exercises, I have pulled myself out of many ugly phases in the past and have learned that everything you need to be happy, can be found within yourself. But it also doesn't hurt to share this space with people you love - because life is not worth living without social connection.
Mindfulness, meditation, and breathing has helped me out of very low phases and I continue to utilize it even during the good ones.

Flower Attack by Kathelijne Meijer
It's an art collage, with flowers and the moon. I am a young queer artist how loves stuff that is crazy and not possible. Like somebody swinging to the moon. Art is a way to escape for a moment out of my brain and be calm.

I do collage art with old magazines I find at my local antique shop. Some would call it analog collage, but I know I want my work to be meaningful and convey a deeper message.
The work I have sent to y’all represents how I felt during my anxiety attacks where I felt completely trapped. I felt like time was running out, I couldn’t breathe or hear my own thoughts.

By Ryan Courtier
Ryan has been working in the medium of collage for the past ten years and specialises in botanical and conceptual collage and abstract painting driven by a love for nature. Ryan’s art searches for beauty in unusual places and he encourages the viewer to listen to the colours in his paintings and to get lost in the textures and forms and ‘listen’ to their inner sounds. Ryan often questions happiness and contentment and still maintains that the key to long-term happiness is mindfulness and that ultimate peace of mind can only come from time spent in nature and appreciating its beauty.

This peice is mainly about privilege. I tried to show how several people in the world struggle to get even the tiny. leftovers of things that we waste, and how so many people need help, but don't know where to get it. making this piece made me realise how lucky i am to be provided with so much just for my comfort and happiness.
